Led by Nicole Martin, this groundbreaking program provides free, independent second autopsies performed by board-certified pathologists to uncover the full story behind in-custody deaths.

With private autopsies costing up to $13,600, many grieving families simply can’t afford the transparency they deserve. That’s where the Autopsy Initiative steps in—removing the financial burden and empowering families to pursue justice. Since 2022, the initiative has completed over 115 autopsies, exposing critical discrepancies and helping families find closure, accountability, and peace.
