When a loved one dies in custody, families are often left with more questions than answers. The Know Your Rights Camp Autopsy Initiative, founded by Colin Kaepernick and Nessa, stands beside these families in their darkest moments—offering not only truth, but dignity.

Led by Nicole Martin, this groundbreaking program provides free, independent second autopsies performed by board-certified pathologists to uncover the full story behind in-custody deaths.

With private autopsies costing up to $13,600, many grieving families simply can’t afford the transparency they deserve. That’s where the Autopsy Initiative steps in—removing the financial burden and empowering families to pursue justice. Since 2022, the initiative has completed over 115 autopsies, exposing critical discrepancies and helping families find closure, accountability, and peace.

This episode hosted by Diana Barbadillo shines light on the human side of science and justice, amplifying the voices of those who refuse to be silenced. Every number is a name. Every report is a story. Every autopsy is a step toward the truth.
